1. Barium Carbonate

Barium Carbonate has wide range of applications used in ceramics, cements, bricks, rat poison and also in food and drink. Barium Carbonate is also named as Witherite.

Applications:
Used in Chlor-Alkali Industries during the pre-treatment of Brine that contains large quantity of sulphates and other Metallic Impurities require high degree of purification prior to electrolysis to avoid cell damaging. Barium Carbonate in the treatment of Brine helps to remove sulphates as Insoluble barium sulphate, calcium and magnesium salts as insoluble carbonates.
Used in the Manufacture of other Barium Compounds such as Barium Chloride, Barium Nitrate and Barium Sulphate.
Used as a fluxing ingredient in enamels, glazes and ceramic bodies.
Used in oil-well drilling industry to stabilise the desired properties of baryte suspension used as drilling mud.
Used in the manufacture of photographic paper, to generate Barium Sulphate in the paper that imparts a flat white appearance.
Used in the glass industry, containing various percentages of Barium Oxide is used for several purposes. To obtain Barium Oxide with required percentage, Barium Carbonate is added to the mix.
Used in the ferrous metallurgy, Barium Carbonate is used in some systems for steel carborizing.

Applications:
Used as a laboratory reagent.

4. Barium Sulphide

Barium Sulphide is black coarse powder form and also essential precursor for rest of the barium compounds. Barium Sulphide is wide used in surface coating materials as pigment extender and also in glass, rubber industries.

Barytes appear in white and grey colour

Grey Barytes

Grey Barytes are naturally available in grey colour known as Barium Sulphate appeared in powder form or in lumps. As Barytes has large scale of applications because they are chemically inert and mainly used in oil drilling muds. They possess high density, low oil absorption and low refractive index. Barytes is soft crystalline material with different shades of white, grey, red and brown colours.

3. Pyrophyllite

4. Quartz

Quartz is the common mineral found and has different varieties with tremendous applications. Most of the quartz is germ stones. Pure Quartz is called rock crystal which is colourless. Varieties of Quartz are Rose Quartz, Citrine, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Milky Quartz that are pale pink, brown, dull purple and black in colour.
